Based in Reading in Berkshire, Danalimatt Gundogs is a small kennel owned and run by Ali Nicholson-Haynes.

Having owned and been involved with dogs for over 30 years, they have been a big part of Ali's life. Growing up with Afghan Hounds, Great Danes, Terriers and German Shepherds, she now owns a German Wirehaired Pointer and four Working Cocker Spaniels.

Ali breeds 1-2 litters of working cocker spaniels per year and all her cockers are trained and worked in the field.

Ali has studied canine psychology, behaviour and how dogs learn, having completed two courses so far, the intention is to continue with this studying with canine care and first aid. She attends canine training courses ranging from obedience (beginners, intermediate and advanced), gundog graded training in conjunction with The Gundog Club and the Kennel Club Good Citizen award scheme. Ali also assists at weekly canine obedience classes.

In March of 2008 Ali founded and launched the West Berkshire Gundog Club, providing outdoor training for enthusiasts of the gundog breeds. The launch was a great success and due to the number of enquiries for puppy gundog training, we now provide puppy classes every fortnight.

All Danalimatt breeding stock are fully health tested for the following:-

Familial Nephropathy - FN (DNA test) - will not pass to offspring

Progressive rod cone degeneration - prcd PRA (DNA Test) will not pass to offspring

Gonioscopy (Glaucoma pre-disposition)
